Second man charged with arson that displaced 20 in Niagara Falls
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — As police further their investigation into a fire that displaced 20 people in Niagara Falls, they say a second person is in custody.
Officers charged on Jan. 1 Jerome Wingfield, 32, with setting the fire that blazed on 1967 Niagara Street. On Monday, they charged Wilber Haynes, 70, as his accomplice.
Each man faces second degree arson, second degree burglary and reckless endangerment for allegedly igniting the boarding house just after nightfall.
