Scajaquada Creek clean-up extends into Forest Lawn

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) —If you’ve ever taken a walk along the portion of Scajaquada Creek that flows through Forest Lawn Cemetery you know the problem — sewage dumped into the creek upstream means odor and contaminated water within the cemetery.While work continues to stem the sewage overflows, friends of the creek Tuesday launched a plan to improve conditions inside the cemetery.
The first phase will cost $2 million– and will be carried out by the Buffalo Sewer Authority.
