Rural Metro responds to police criticism

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Frustrations ran high late Sunday in the minutes after two police vehicles T-boned at the intersection of Niagara Street and Porter Avenue.
Nearly 10 minutes after the crash, those frustrations boiled over on the police scanner, as officers on the scene awaited the first ambulance.
Rural Metro has come under fire this year for slow response times. And the ambulance agency inked a new contract with the city in early August.
