Route 5 in Lackawanna reopens as crews continue with demolition

LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) –Route 5 in Lackawanna reopened four days after being closed due to the fire at the old Bethlehem Steel Plant.
Saturday morning crews continued to break apart pieces of the building to reach some of the hot spots still burning.
Officials are asking non-residents to not travel into the neighborhoods near the steel plant as they continue to work.
