Road work begins as winter hides away

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — As winter disappears from western New York, road crews are seizing an opportunity to get an early jump on tackling projects.
The Thruway Authority announced it will begin construction on the I-290 eastbound ramp to the I-90 eastbound, a project that will span all the way through the summer. All traffic on the I-290 eastbound heading towards the I-90 eastbound will be detoured into a single lane of Wehrle Drive, then back onto the Ramp, as shown in the graphic.
