Residents clean up Saturday, following flooding

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Overnight flooding came as a surprise to some western New Yorkers. Many received an alert from the National Weather Service early Saturday morning alerting them to flash flood warnings.
Jim Rosten from Kenmore said, “It was a never-ending rain and it came down very hard, I thought my house was going to float away.”
Renee Zimmerman from Lancaster said, “In the middle of the night I heard loud thunder, and it woke me up out of a sound sleep.
