Professor shot in the head at Delta State University

JACKSON, Miss. (AP-Mod.) — A professor was killed in his office at Delta State University in Mississippi, an official said Monday, and the campus remained on lockdown after reports of a shooter on the loose.
A Bolivar County deputy coroner said Dr. Ethan Schmidt, an associate professor at the school, was shot in the head, possibly multiple times.
Schmidt’s bio on the school’s website says he taught American History.
