Preventing the summer learning slide
GRIFTON, N.C. (WNCT) – With the school year winding down, many families are looking for ways to help their children combat what’s known as the summer slide.
Most students K-12 will lose about two months of grade-level learning in math and reading over the summer.
Meanwhile, according to the National Summer Learning Association, low-income students are expected to lose even more.
