Police unions back 2 a.m. bar closings

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Two local police unions are now backing the idea of a 2 a.m. ‘last call’ in Erie County.
“I initiated this because I do believe it’s a matter of public safety” said Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs, who now has the support of the Erie County Sheriff Road Patrol PBA, and the NY State Troopers PBA in his push to make bars in Erie County close at 2 a.m. instead of 4 a.m.
