Police: Student taken into custody after making threat; school lockdown lifted

SHERMAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A lockdown at Sherman High School was lifted Friday morning after a threat was made by a student.
On Thursday night, authorities say the 15-year-old male posted a threat of violence on Facebook. New York State Police began to investigate the threat and sent cars to the school in the morning.
The student was not at school Friday, and was taken into custody at his home.
