Plans for group home in Eden on halt

EDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Town Board in Eden has appealed New York State’s decision to allow a Buffalo-based company to place a group home in a residential area.
Tensions in Eden are high over the proposed group home as it could potentially house sex offenders in the residential neighborhood. Officials say the six-bed group home would be build on the corner of Jennings Road and East Church Street, just up the road from a school.
