Petition asks Congress to provide more help for addicts

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An online petition is raising awareness for people struggling with addiction.
The petition is part of Anthony’s Act which asks Congress to extend the time the Affordable Care Act covers for rehabilitation treatment facilities. Under the current coverage plan, patients are covered for up to 90 days. The petition, which has more than 38,000 signatures, is asking for that to be extended to 180 days.
