NY launches new statewide emergency management software

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York state is rolling out a new emergency management computer system to help authorities across the state better respond to extreme weather and other emergencies.
The initiative, called NY Responds, will replace an older patchwork of websites and computer systems used by different counties. It was announced Monday at a state emergency management meeting in Albany.
