NHL considers case closed against Patrick Kane

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — According to the National Hockey League, an independent investigation into potential wrongdoing by Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane is officially over.
The league based its findings partially off the Erie County’s District Attorney’s Office decision to avoid filing charges. League officials made the announcement Wednesday after a final meeting between League Commissioner Gary Bettman and Patrick Kane himself.
