New Yorkers still pay highest taxes in US

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB)- It may not come as a surprise to many, but New York residents continue to pay the highest taxes in the nation.
It’s all spelled out in a recent annual report by The Tax Foundation, a Conservative fiscal group based in Washington DC. Using figures from 2012, it lists New York as having the highest combined State and local tax burden in the nation.
