National Fuel calls off request for customers to turn down heat

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — National Fuel is thanking Western New Yorkers for turning down their thermostats on Monday.
Due to gas delivery issues, the company had requested that customers turn their thermostats back five degrees. It applied to customers in Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
The gas delivery issues stemmed from a system interruption at a transmission facility.
