More than a thousand people lose power when snow hits Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)-  The snow moved into South Buffalo with rush hour traffic on Monday and fell steadily for hours. As the lake effect band moved north, another problem developed in the Elmwood Village and on the West Side.
“It’s kind of disheartening when the power goes out because I can’t do anything about it,” said Tom Londergan, who lives in the Elmwood Village.
