More than 115 animals seized from East Amherst home

EAST AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — More than 115 animals were recently taken away from an East Amherst home, according to the Erie County SPCA.
The animals, which the organization says were living in deplorable and unsafe conditions, included snakes, birds, fish, spiders, frogs, lizards and small mammals. Hundreds of insects were removed too.All of the animals are being taken care of at the SPCA’s Tonawanda shelter. One, an iguana, had to be euthanized after showing signs of a broken back.
