Man killed after driving less than a quarter mile

PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WIVB) — After traveling less than a quarter of a mile this morning in Pembroke, a driver crashed into a tree and died.
Pavilion resident Alan Hargrave was driving a pick-up truck and towing a small, empty trailer with his brother when he pulled out of a scrapyard and turned onto Angling Rd. around 9:45 a.m.
While driving, Hargrave lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree.
Deputies at the scene found him not breathing and pulled him out of the vehicle.
