Man attacked outside Downtown library

BUFFALO (WIVB) – Police are trying to find the suspect who attacked a man near the Buffalo and Erie County Library early Thursday morning. Officers closed Ellicott Street from Broadway to Clinton for several hours overnight as they investigated.
Buffalo Police tweeted that the man who was assaulted had serious injuries. Officers encouraged people to avoid the intersection.
Police Spokesperson Mike DeGeorge so far has not responded to News 4’s request for additional information.
