Local hospitals report more hoverboard injuries after Christmas

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB)- Hoverboards were one of the hottest toys on the market this Christmas but now the Consumer Product Safety Commission is investigating the technology. The agency says it’s looking into 22 reports of hoverboards catching on fire in 17 states.
Gravity seems to be another problem. There are more than 70 reports of emergency room visits because of injuries people got falling off their hoverboards, including here in Western New York.
