Lewiston Police warn of phone scammer

LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — Lewiston Police are warning residents of a phone scam happening in the area.
Police say someone has been calling and saying they are with the Deputy Marshall’s office. The person, who identifies himself as Joe Rice, tells people that they missed jury duty and then tells them that a warrant will be out for their arrest if they do not come to the Federal Building in Buffalo to pay $1,900 in fines.
