Leaving a pet in a hot car can mean jail time

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB)- A Chicago man is in trouble with the law for leaving his dog locked inside his hot car in Niagara Falls.
Temperatures climbed on Monday when an employee of the Quality Inn & Suites called police to report a distressed dog in a car. The car was parked in the hotel’s lot on First Street.
“Windows in the car were up except for the driver’s side front window, which was down not even an inch,” said Officer David Bower.
Bower said a Chihuahu
