Lawmakers concerned by low Erie Basin Marina rent payments

(WIVB) -- Lawmakers in the City of Buffalo are wondering how a local marina operator has gone years paying next to nothing in rent to the city.Some city lawmakers are furious over years of missed rent payments from Smith Boys, a boat dealer in North Tonawanda that's been operating the Erie Basin Marina over the past decade.This comes after a follow-up review from the Comptroller's Office said Smith Boys earns roughly $900,000 per year at the marina but has only paid the city $930.
