Kidnapping, robbery thwarted by victim’s quick thinking

LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) — A victim’s quick thinking cut short a crime spree reportedly involving four people from Rochester on Thursday, Aug. 13.
Police say they received a call for help from the bathroom of a local convenience store. A man on the phone told police he had been captured at gunpoint from his room at a local motel.
The man explained two people robbed him and forced him into their car at gunpoint, then took him to the store to withdraw money from the ATM machine
