Incumbent and new face win Common Council primary

Buffalo, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two races for Common Council ended with an incumbent and a new candidate winning Democrat party nominations on primary night.
David Franczyk won his party’s nomination to serve another term representing the city’s Fillmore district.He easily defeated Samuel Herbert and Joseph Mascia, whose comments about the mayor and Common Council president stirred a controversy.
