Hundreds run in honor of Yalem

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The 26th annual Linda Yalem Safety Run took place at UB Norths early Sunday morning.
The 5K honors the memory of Yalem, a UB student who was raped and murdered in September 1990 on the Amherst Bike Path while training for the New York City Marathon.
Each year, the university welcomes more than 1,200 runners and walkers, and more than 600 volunteers.
The post-race activities included food, entertainment and a Kids Dash.
