Homeless advocates: Code Blue should still give locals a choice

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The executive order issued Sunday morning by Gov. Andrew Cuomo came as a surprise to local homeless coalitions, who have been active with Code Blue situations in Buffalo for more than six years.
But advocates say forcing people off the street — as suggested by the governor’s directive — will do more harm than good.
