Home laser light thefts on the rise

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Surveillance cameras caught a Christmas light thief in the act on a snowy Sunday night.
And a south Buffalo couple is hoping police catch up to him, which may be made easier by the fact his getaway car is bicycle.
Lori Schmidt and her boyfriend John love Christmas, and especially Christmas lights.
“Little competitions with the neighbors,” Lori said. “We did it, so they copied, that kind of thing. Lights the whole house up. Try to make it look nice.
