Going blue for colon cancer awareness

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — March is the month dedicated to raising awareness about colon cancer and how to prevent it, but March 4 is the only day where everyone who cares about this cause is encouraged to dress in blue. The purpose of bringing attention in this way, is to get more people to go for screenings. Although colon cancer is the second deadliest form of cancer, it is also one of the most preventable when caught in its early stages.
