Gas prices jumping up statewide

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — As the New York state average gas price reaches above the two-dollar mark, hitting $2.01/gallon this week, stations in western New York are also feeling the effects of changes in the industry.
Still under the state median, average gas prices in Buffalo jumped four cents to $1.94/gallon this week. This is the same number as last week’s state average and the current national average. In Rochester, average prices are just above that — $1.96/gallon.
