BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Oxford Dictionaries defines a supermoon as “the phenomenon whereby the moon appears particularly large in the sky owing to the coincidence of its closest approach to the earth (the perigee) with a full (or new) moon.” On Sunday night, people across western New York had the chance to experience the abnormal, yet beautiful sight.
