Former Buffalo cop sentenced for wrongful arrest

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A former Buffalo police officer was sentenced to three months in prison for a misdemeanor civil rights violation.
Robert Eloff, 41, faced up to one year in jail after pleading guilty to deprivation of rights under color of law in June. As part of his plea deal, Eloff resigned from the police department.
