Food pantries at UB, Buffalo State help students in need

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — On the shelves inside an old gymnasium at University Presbyterian Church is more than just canned goods and boxes of cereal boxes. It’s an opportunity for students to concentrate on their studies rather than their stomachs. And for local residents to give back to the thousands who call their community home.
“We are a client’s choice, which means our clients choose what they want,” said food pantry volunteer Barb Pearson.
