Food bank feeling impact from turkey shortage

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Food bank of Western New York feeds about 117,000 individuals every month.
“At the food bank of Western New York, we fight hunger every single day,” said Catherine Shick, who works for the Food Bank. “Hunger is 365 days a year.”
This year, they’re having difficulties getting enough turkeys to feed families in need.
‘With the bird flu, we’re definitely feeling an extra pinch with getting the turkeys we need.”
