Five people escape 3 alarm fire in Genesee County

Batavia, N.Y. (WIVB) – A three alarm fire tore through a home in Batavia.
It happened early Tuesday morning on Columbia avenue. Flames started in the basement before spreading to the first and second floors.
Five people were in the home at the time, but everyone was able to get out safely. A dog also escaped the flames.
The more than 100-year-old house is likely a totally loss.
