Fire on Transit Road causes $100,000 in damage

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A fire on Transit Road in Swormville Thursday afternoon caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to a barn, according to the Amherst Central Fire Alarm Office.Just before 12:30 p.m. on May 30, a fire was reported at a barn on 6995 Transit Road that housed multiple businesses. The Swormville fire chief arrived and reported heavy smoke coming from the building.
