Fire briefly closes down local road

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Local firefighters made quick work of a house fire in Clarence early Monday morning.
Officials say they closed down Gunnville Road for a time while they worked to contain a fire at a house on the road. Investigators got to work after knocking down the 6 a.m. fire, saying they learned a wet electrical line likely sparked the flames.
Nobody suffered injury in the blaze, and fire officials say they will continue to investigate.
