Facebook’s “Safety Check” comes under fire

The Facebook “Safety Check” feature allows users to instantly check-in as safe, so that all their friends know they’re alright.
However, Facebook has been criticized over how the company rolled out this feature.
It was originally meant solely for natural disasters, but the company decided to use it following the events in Paris.
