Erie County legislator pushes for hearing on animal abuse registry

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – In light of the recent legal battle between Beth Hoskins and the SPCA, an Erie County Legislator is calling for a hearing to discuss Local Law 5-1, which would establish a County Animal Abuse registry.
The ongoing battle between Hoskins and the SPCA has been unfolding for 5 years, after she was charged with 52 counts of animal cruelty. Hoskins is currently in the process of selling 29 of her 64 horses to a Rochester farmer as part of a court order.
