DWI charge for driver in Amherst head on crash

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Depew man faces a DWI charge following a crash that closed part of Transit Road for 2 hours Saturday night.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m, according to Captain Patrick McKenna, of the Amherst Police Department.
Witnesses told police a northbound car crossed over double yellow lines on Transit near Dodge Road, where it hit a car heading south.
