Driver escapes vehicle struck by train in North Tonawanda

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman and her dogs safely escaped a vehicle that was struck by a train in North Tonawanda Tuesday night.
The vehicle was stuck on the tracks at Ward and River Roads before the driver jumped out. It is unclear how the car became stuck.
North Tonawanda Police are at the scene investigating.
