Detectives make progress in Grand Island home invasion

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) – Investigators may be closing in a on a suspect in a crime that has rattled residents living along the Niagara River.
Erie County Sheriff Detective Brian O’Hara tells News 4 he has several leads and some possible suspects in the case from Wednesday. It was in the middle of the day when a man dressed in a haz-mat outfit  knocked on a door on West River Road. He claimed to work for the Water Department, but then assaulted the person who answered the door
