Deer hunters prepare for ‘opening day’

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB)- Twas the night before deer season and hunters were lined up to get their licenses at Cabela’s in Cheektowaga.
“We go out at Corfu and usually get to bed early, get up early, dress warm.” said Hassan Fares, who was waiting in line with a friend from out of town.
Just in New York State there are a half million hunters who spend about forty million dollars just on licenses every year, not to mention what they spend in stores like this.
