Deadly crash shuts down Thruway traffic for hours

TOWN OF SHERIDAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A deadly crash shut down part of the I-90 for hours Wednesday morning.
New York State Police say a tractor trailer rear-ended a pickup truck. The pickup truck driver was killed and his female passenger had minor injuries.
The crash shut down the eastbound lanes of the I-90 for around five hours starting at 3:30 a.m. Traffic was diverted off the Thruway at the Dunkirk exit.
