Corruption case for former Sen. Maziarz will not be thrown out

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) – The corruption case for former state senator George Maziarz will not be thrown out.
A judge in Albany denied the motion to dismiss the charges by the State Attorney General’s office on Friday.
The former lawmaker’s attorneys had argued that Maziarz had been the victim of a selective prosecution, asking for the case to be thrown away.
Maziarz’ trial will begin in September.
