Convicted murderer escapes from Ohio prison

NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) – A convicted murderer is missing from a prison in Ohio, and officials believe he may have escaped.
John Modie, convicted of murder, kidnapping and escape out of Cuyahoga County was in prison at the Hocking Unit of the Southeastern Correctional Complex in Nelsonville.
According to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Modie was missing from the facility during the 11pm count.
