Company develops hearing implant for iPhone

CUPERTINO, Calif. (WIVB) — Apple is teaming with Cochlear to launch the first hearing implant made for an iPhone.
The FDA has approved Cochlear’s Nucleus 7 sound processor, which can stream sound directly from a compatible iPhone or iPad to a patient’s surgically embedded sound processor.
The device also allows customers with the implant to control and customize sounds directly from their devices.
