Communicating beyond borders

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Erie and Genesee counties are among 17 others across New York state to receive a piece of a $50 million pie to improve the way emergency responders communicate.
The technology was in place during the November storm, which was critical, considering the widespread impact.
But even more important, according to Erie County’s Commissioner of Emergency Services, Dan Neaverth, are instances when the system is needed more often.
“I would say that day-to-day is mo
