City plows tackle drive time snow

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- The flakes started to fly just as downtown commuters were leaving work.
A lake snow band made it’s way into Buffalo. It made Canalside finally look a lot like Christmas and sent the City salt trucks out in force even though temperatures were in the teens.
“Salt is still effective, you just have to throw a bit more of it. That’s why we pre-salt.” said Buffalo Public works Commissioner Steve Stepniak who adds that thirty five trucks were out pre-saltin
